The Sunshine Coast is located in the southwest corner of British Columbia.  Bordered by Howe Sound to the south, the Strait of Georgia to the west, Desolation Sound to the north and the Coastal Mountain Range to the east. While there are no road links to the area from the lower mainland, a regular ferry service for passengers and vehicles, operated by the provincial government, is in daily opperation providing scheduled crossings from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver.

The Sunshine Coast, with its close proximity to Vancouver, offers a relaxing pace of rural coast living.  Further attractions of the area are numerous - public parks, first class golf courses, pleasant climate (less rainfall than Vancouver), breath-taking mountain and ocean scenery, an abundance of recreational opportunities ( such as cross country skiing, mountain biking, hiking, boating, sports, fishing, swimming, etc.), excellent medical, educational, retail and commercial facilities, lower crime rates, low pollution rates, and the economic advantages of lower property taxes. In all, it is a definite draw to the urban weary who are discovering this gentle yet vibrant area - making this lifestyle their own!!!
